What is WordPress

WordPress is a Content Management System (CMS) that allows website owners, editors, and authors to manage their websites and publish content without any programming knowledge. Today, it is the most popular CMS in the world and is used by more than 30% of all websites.
While there are many advantages of CMS WordPress, major ones are highlighted below.

  1. Completely free system.
WordPress is a CMS with open source code, distributed under GNU GPL 2 license and therefore is available for FREE. This means, that users and companies are free to run, use and modify the software according to their needs.

  2. Simplicity in installing and using.
To install WordPress, you do not need to be a programmer, nor to understand the code or technical nuances, all you need is downloading the system from the official site and installing it with a few clicks. Developers made the system so simple and user-friendly, that even beginners are able to understand it.

  3. Extensive number of plugins.
Functional capabilities of WordPress can be expanded with free or premium plugins. Plugins allow you to implement almost any task. Add a questionnaire to the site, create a photo gallery, turn the blog into an eCommerce store allowing to filter products and order online - all this is possible with the help of additional plugins.
